I'm taking a class with Denise Stillwaggon and I'm learning a lot about imagery with glass. Today was all about working with buttercut and doing stage blasting. This is a technique that works in stages to build a layered look with the different sand blastings. These where the two that I made today.
This was the first one that I had done which is a vertebrae on an 11" x 11" piece of glass.
This was the second one that I did and I feel like there is something unique about this process. It's very graphic and I like the unique kinds of textures and layers you get with sandblasting.
